Fall

Humans use the word 'fall' in two ways. One: they mean the season, when it's finally cool enough that dogs don't feel like napping the entire afternoon away. I am much more awake in the fall. Such perfect weather!

And two: they mean the time of year when things FALL on your head. Such as leaves. And rain. And the oranges you can see in this picture. Ouch!

By the way, those oranges may LOOK like toys, but do not be fooled. One time, Little She threw one across the Yard like a ball. But when I bit it, it tasted SOUR. Woof! It never pays to play fetch!

And yet, Jake loves to play chase with oranges. He catches them, chews the rind, "guts" them. He has a great time.

Do you live in Florida? Oranges? Autumn? Wow, what a concept for a Bostonian.

No. We live in California. We have an orange tree in our backyard. Where's Florida? What's Autumn?
